Abstract

This article propose an explanation of the South American regional integration phenomenon -  making focus in the particular case of the UNASUR and its Defence Council-, from the theoretical framework of the main International Relations schools: Realism, Liberalism, Constructivism and English School, also study and comprehend the limitations proposed by each model.
