Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyze the process of restructuring and modernization produced in the 1990s, which was the last initiative with effective consequences to provide the necessary means to guarantee the operability of the units of that Force and an attempt partial restructuring of its design and deployment. On the other hand, identify what actors, ideas and determinations then operated to favor those initiatives. And finally, to reflect on the extent to which that process and the behavior of its main protagonists can be useful today to reflect on the difficulties encountered by political and military leadership in the twenty-first century to provide Argentina with a system of national defense.
