Abstract

In this paper we seek to analyze the dynamic behind the decline of the United States and the rise of China in the international system. This exceeds the simple dynamic of a bilateral relationship. We consider it linked to the fact that we are in a state of transition and consolidation of a new hegemonic power during the 21st century at the international level. We are going to use Giovanni Arrighi’s concept of systematic cicles of accumulation to analyze it.
