In this article, the author penetrates into the phenomenon of power. The author argues that power is a controversial, obscure and enigmatic concept. Next, it develops two possible visions or perspectives to address power: transitive and intransitive. Likewise, it explains the exercise of power during the 20th century, marked by violence and totalitarianism, a time in which state power reached its maximum intensification and maximization. It also analyzes the status of legal-political powers in contemporary constitutional democracies. Finally, he critically discusses certain current conceptions of power, such as biopolitics and Italian Theory.
