Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic unleashed a health emergency of unprecedented dimensions around the planet. In a matter of months, the virus radically changed the lives of millions of people and its effects already seem to show particular risks for children, especially in families living in vulnerable situations. This work aims to explore some effects of COVID-19 on the well-being of boys and girls in Argentina, with special interest in the residents of the metropolitan area of Buenos Aires. Knowing how complex it would be to try to provide some

theoretical approaches when the tidal wave of the pandemic is still hitting the South American region, a literary work will be used as a strategy to extract fictional and fantastic figures that allow to catalyze reflection and thus relate environments and situations that the story presents with the first impressions on the social dynamics generated by the pandemic in the field of childhood. With this qualitative strategy, based on bibliographic and documentary analysis, an attempt will be made to provide some keys to indicate paths of thought that could be retaken in the future from more exhaustive research on the impact of COVID-19 on the well-being of children.
