Abstract

The post-soviet security complex, as shown in Barry Buzan and Ole Waever’s theory, is a paradigmatic test case to analyze the transformation of a regional system due to the Soviet Union implosion and the rise of the Nation States with power in regional decision making given. From the epistemological system logic of Niklas Luhmann, the article will try to exhibit the impact of Ukraine’s conflict in the regional security system and the interests of secondary actors in these dynamics.
