Abstract

In February 1832, the Argentine (diplomatic) envoy in London, Manuel Moreno, sent a reserved note to Buenos Aires, in which he warned about the possibility of the United Kingdom attacking the Malvinas Islands, violating Argentine sovereignty. The objective of this article is to analyze this valuable document in the light of the history of International Relations while highlighting the qualities of the Argentine diplomat, who would later stand out for the famous Protest, after the British usurpation in January from 1833.
